Riley Simas

Principal, Acquisitions

Riley Simas is a Vice President within the Asset Management team at Bellwether, working with clients such as The Related Group, Calmwater Capital, and GoldenTree Asset Management. Prior to joining Bellwether, Mr. Simas worked at Canyon Partners on the asset management team across both their equity and debt platforms and spent time at TruAmerica Multifamily executing value-add multifamily strategies across TruAmerica’s national workforce housing portfolio. 

Previously, Mr. Simas held a position at CBRE. Mr. Simas is a graduate of The University of Southern California (BS, Business Administration) and of the UCLA Anderson School of Management (MBA, Finance).

Tanner Wilson

Principal, Asset Management

Tanner Wilson is a real estate executive with over a decade of experience in acquisition, development, leasing and management of commercial assets throughout California and Arizona where he has managed assets with notable tenants including General Motors, Western Digital, ASML, USC Keck Health and Yellow Freight. 

Prior to his current role with a family office, Mr. Wilson spent time in brokerage services with JLL in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Wilson received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate and Urban Analysis from The Ohio State University and a Master in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship at the University of California, Los Angeles. 

Mark Mandala

Principal, Investor Relations

Mark Mandala is head of multifamily acquisitions at Brixton Capital, a vertically-integrated private real estate investment company in San Diego, CA. Mr. Mandala has acquired over $800 million and 3,000 units throughout his career. Prior to his time with Brixton, Mark served as the Vice President of Investments at RedHill Realty Investors, a private real estate company specializing in value-add and core-plus multifamily investments. 

Prior to that, Mark held positions at Eastdil Secured and Freddie Mac Multifamily focusing on Debt Placement for multifamily properties throughout the West Coast. Mark holds his real estate license in the state of California and is an active member of the NAIOP Developing Leader’s Council, NMHC Emerging Leaders, and Urban Land Institute (ULI). Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Arizona.

Caleb Maxson

Principal, Operations

Caleb Maxson is a finance & operations executive and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in management consulting, financial planning & analysis, and operations. Mr. Maxson is the founder and CEO of Openvale Group, a consultancy provided tech-enabled services and solutions for strategic finance teams. 

Prior to starting Openvale Group, Mr. Maxson led finance teams at Sunrun and DocuSign and consulted on finance transformation projects at Alvarez & Marsal and Hitachi Consulting. Mr. Maxson graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
